I've done this before. The driver side works great and is very easy, but turns off with the window switch and the passenger side I don't remember if I ever got it to work.

If you press the window switch the lock switch led turns off?

Instead of soldering the wire onto the switch terminals, why not just pin those 2 terminals in the connector, so you can actually unplug the switch in the future??

since you guys are putting leds in lock switches and window switches, did you guys know that certain years of focus hatcu button can accept leds??

2000~2007 uses same hatch button but certain years, if you pull button assy out and take off button, you will see space to fit in 3mm led, i did this to my ride..
some got divider goes on the middle of hatch icon and some doesn't have..

just letting you guys know..

Off topic, sorry, but, focusonfocus, nice car. That's the same car I just wrecked. I love that color, you don't see many of those.

If you buy the paint, its technically called Birchwood Beige, and Ford doesn't even make the touch-up paint for it. I had to have some custom mixed last summer from a body shop supply store. Just a little FYI.

Thank you for posting this! I didn't think this was possible since mine is painted... do you know approximately like what year range this can be found on? I know the 2000-2001 cars usually have small things like this that Ford decontented in the later years, so maybe it's from them?
