I would like a GPS in the replacement of the stereo. I don't need the stereo. I would like to remove the stereo and insert the GPS in the dashboard so it would look nice and factory like. Where can I find one that would fit in my car?

i m confused..
you said, you want gps in the dashboard, then what is it got to do with radio?? or if you meant, radio bezel, then why not go with in-dash unit with gps built in?? it plays dvd, plays, fm, cd, and also gps.. for example, alpine with blackbird or kenwood DNX5120..

Get the AVIC from pioneer, in dash nav and DVD.
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...ash/AVIC-F90BT ![]() Double din replacement. They also have fold out versions that are single din. |

I'd also recommend a built-in unit that does everything. I already have a Garmin GPS, but I may be getting one of these units (it's an Alpine, though I'm unsure of the model number at the moment) fairly soon for a very good price from my buddy

AVIC looks nice. a bit pricey, though. I don't listen to radio nor do i watch any movies while driving. I just want a basic in-dash navigation system. any other options?

ok i should've knew there is no in-dash navigation system out there that comes without radio. I just want a good and affordable navigation system with big screen. I don't care about other features. I'm looking at this Kenwood DNX7100. Big screen, good navigation. It just looks like what i'm looking for. Although it costs $800, a bit steep than i'd like. I'd like to find one under $500 but i'd pay $600, tops.

You can install a factory Ford Nav, if that's what you're looking for.
The system that comes on the Fusion and F-150 fits the Focus. I have it on mine (06' ZX4 ST). It works perfectly (even the steering controls). Just look for it on ebay, you can find around $ 700.00 I guess. Check the pic on this link: http://www.focusfanatics.com/gallery...cat=504&page=8 It's mine's pic. |

look at the pioneer avic-f500bt. not the cheapest thing, but it's an "on dash" navigation with bluetooth and ipod controls. can prolly find them for around $500-600

Your best bet seems like it would be to just get a portable GPS. I have the Garmin Nuvi 250W and really like it. No crazy installation needed, just a suction cup mount to the windshield and plug the power connector into the cig lighter when the battery starts dieing.

come to find out when i talked to the local car audio place. You can hide the antenna under the dash. you just have to make sure that there is no metal above it, and it does magnitize to metal. so finding something metal under there should be that hard to do.

Really???
Well I like Pioneer and prefer alpine too. I also see the dash/windsheild mounted type to be placed more ergonomicly and safer for driving.
