Default Airbag Emblem

I was wondering if it is possible to remove the airbag emblem. Mine is dented and has been since I bought it. I have a replacement emblem and I don't want to just stick it over the top of the current one.

ive attempted to pry mine up before and left little scratches on the edges. its either stuck on, screwed on, or has metal tabs bent behind it.

It has tabs. I looked at ti and I think I'll be cutting the tabs off and just 3Ming it over the top. I'm gonna see if I can get more of them.

It has metal tabs, and their are more then one style of tabs. I just cut the tabs off and used 3M tape, looks GREAT. I am trying to find out if I can get more so others on the forum can fix theirs, well cover theirs up.

Man... I'd be worried about sticking something metal around the airbag to pry stuff.

speaking of metal things around the airbag, i assume(as i havnt had my airbag deploy) that the center line of the airbag cover and horn button is meant to rip appart when the airbag deploys. so for us modders, more info is needed. are the metal tabs on top or botom part of the airbag deployment seam?

i'd really like to lift the oval from my airbag and front and back of my car so i can clear it and recolor it like i did to my old XBOX1.

when the airbag deploys, the seam rips underneath the emblem around the oval and straight out from the right most and left most sides of the emblem. I'd show you, but I threw out the blown airbag (not much use to me). I hope that's what you were looking for as far as a description.

^^^^ exactly its splits the logo horizontally,so ur best bet is disconnecting the battery and pulling the whole horn/airbag setup off and doing it that way,it just unblots and u wont have to worry about catching an airbag in the face.although the airbags have not worked in the last 3 fords i bought new,2 of which were foci lol

You can probably pry it out with a thin screwdriver. There are about 5 tabs on it.
If you are trying to get the dent out, unplug the battery and then pry off the top or bottom end of the emblem. Then you can try to push out the dent with something thin, and put the emblem back into the air bag cover. Im assuming it wont stay in when you put it back, so try some super glue around the edge.
