If I only had $800 in my bank. I wouldn't buy anything I don't need. Save your money you may need it for more important things

Yeah, that seat fabric gets dirty and wears fast. Pity. These are probably going to fetch 1200-1400 too.

Yep...I yell at people who put drinks between their legs and tell them I will kick them to the curb if they do it again after I tell them not to. I've only had to do that once though

I have more than enough to buy them, but I know I shouldn't

Gawd I'm soooo tempted.....but honestly knowing how much of a PITA my cloth SVT seats are to keep looking nice, I think I'd rather have the all leather EAP Recaros. These would be bitchin for the unique factor, but I'd be so anal about them that I wouldn't want to DD my car with them in it

^^ Yup. A Rug Doctor with upholstery attachment makes 'em look new. I've only had to do it twice in three years (and the first time was right after buying the car).

I think the fabric wears a lot better than leather. Granted, I've seen plenty of pics of nasty-looking fabric SVT seats, but the fabric on MINE looks sensational. It's the leather that's starting to show its age...

And, yeah, for anyone still wondering: those other seats in the eBay pic are, without any doubt whatsoever, standard SVTs.

WTF?
serious, why do you guys post about this stuff... keep these things on the DL or you ruin it for everyone but the seller and cause a bidding war!
those seat COULD have sold for under $800 but now are going to go for $1000+!! Just watch!

seriously, who cares about everyone else!? if they are looking for such a thing they would already know about it. you tell one or 2 people you might know who can and would buy and that's it!

i wouldn't dount that views on that item have atleast trippled since it was posted in this and a few other threads and bidding has definitely increased too!

Agreed. I may be new here, but on all the other forums I frequent, posting about items for sale is prohibited (except by the actual seller) for exactly the reasons mentioned.

Points taken, and I offer a muted apology (and had they been BLUE, I certainly wouldn't have started this thread).

That being said, the seller has just as much of a right to make coin off 'em as do you or anyone else to buy 'em cheap.

So whatever.

I just checked the listing and he's added more pics that actually make 'em look crappier - they may not reach $1K after all...

Good luck to whoever gets these seats! I hope it a fellow FJer

I was in the running, hoping for a chance at a good deal but they're heading north of 500 (no doubt because of this ) , with 175 shipping... and oh how i want those seats, but i could do the svt head swap and buy some tools... or maybe pay a bill or two

I don't know if this was covered recently, but the questions were at the beginning of this thread...

The seats you see in the background are the rear seats, not the "other" svt seats so it is a whole set, they look good but those new picks aren't that flattering... the one looks a little flatter lol but these seats still rock
and +1 on the steam cleaning, I'm gonna hit my car soon... but ew the water that comes out of the carpet.. grossness

good luck FJ! 2 days left!

i have the money and debating it, but i like being able to sit in the seats then determine if i like them or not.
it would be a very rare interior modification.

They should be comfortable to most people. Larger folks may find them a bit tight, but smaller guys should have 0 problems (this is assuming they fit like EAP Recaros).

I've sat in the EAP Recaros, and they are sensational. In fact, first time I did, my back when "crrrrr-ACK!" (that being a good thing). But if you're 6'3" or above, you're gonna be hurting for headroom, especially if you ever ride shotgun in your own car...

Meh. The leather is creasing on the side bolsters. Does that happen naturally...or has someone sat in these?

If someone on here gets them, and you are right, this sellers reputation is going to be dirt.
