Default Blower Motor Resistor

So my heat doesn't blow from 0-3 and then on the highest setting (4) it blows hard. So I'm thinking it's the blower motor resistor and was wondering if you guys knew where it was located. Some cars it's under the hood and others it's behind the dash. Any tips from anyone who has replaced it would be appreciated.

Mark, it's for sure behind the glovebox. I had to replace one in my buddy's grandma's sedan last summer and I'll try to pull up the directions again for you

OK, here's the link that I used:

http://forums.focaljet.com/team-tech...-problems.html

Her car was doing the same thing as what you just described (her fans only came on with the highest setting), which is actually because the highest fan setting bypasses the use of the resistor and is instead just powered straight from the car (I think, it's been a long time since I've researched this) so that's the reasoning for the otherwise random logic behind this one

Thanks so much Brian! You know, I honestly didn't even try to search the forum before I posted. Shame on me! It's a lot easier and cheaper then I expected! Definitely a relief with all the repairs that I have been through this year.

I have ogre hands and definitely found it easier to just remove the glove box so that I didn't hurt myself
