Default Having Adapter Plate Clearance Issues (Pics)

I have installed the LCR Streets on my KYB AGX and H&R Race springs. All went well. After getting an alignment (-1.5 Camber), I heard what sounded like the spring binding and releasing when turning the wheel during parking lot speeds. So I recently took the struts off to simply add some insulation on the srpings and readjust if necessary. They have only been on the car for three days worth of driving and I found a serious issue.

Seems as though the Torx Screws that are used to bolt the camber plates and suspension to the Strut tower is rubbing against the adapter. When you see the pictures, it makes me thing that its not allowing the spring perch to rotate with the wheel turning, and causing the bind and release of the spring I have been hearing. I did isolate that noise to the perch.

I took the strut apart again today and reinstalled the plates and suspension. The noise is still there and the binding and release of the spring is pretty noticeable.

Anyone else have this issue? Any insight and recommendations LCR?

I would call them. I think the bolt heads are supposed to be counter sunk and flush with the plate.

I am going to today. I sent them an email with a link to here so they can see the pics. The sound is horrible and that defenitely looks wrong. I also know I installed the collet correctly. So maybe its their vendor for these plates.

I hope thats all it is.

jameszx3 had the same issue with his KW coilovers. he solved it by making a custom plate adapter that fits between his top hat and the collet. lemme PM and get him to post up

I have the same issue, and there are a couple other threads with other folks who have the binding issue.

I'm a bit dissappointed in the lack of response from LCR. This is obviously a hardware issue with the plates that needs to be resolved.

There are a few sets of plates that were assembled with the incorrect allen screws that could cause a rub on some applacations. We have id the problem and if you feel you might have that issue please contact me at tech@capaldiracing.com
and we will retro fit the screws for you.
