benfxtx, that's because your IAC opens the butterfly a little and your car idles at a higher speed to make up for the power drag of the a/c compressor and the extra air velocity through the butterfly makes up for the insufficiently sized idle hole, er something

My SVT is just the opposite. If i start and let idle for 2 minutes or so it will run good and not stall/drop below 800 and bounce much at all.

Turn on the AC and yoink yoink yoink 800 1500 800 1500

Oh I even drilled out the BBK idle hole to as large as it can get w/o going thru the sidewalls.....maybe thats helped the off ac idle but not with AC fo sure

still seems the best fix for me is always (even after driven) let it idle 2 minutes before I drive, like its relearning something

I'm watching this thread with great interest. I really hope this kit turns out to be a great solution for one of the most annoying flaws of the Powerworks Blower.

Lord knows I'd really like to correct my $5000.00 Random Stall mod.

Not following on here much anymore because I've been super busy. It's been so hot around here the last month I haven't driven my car except the last two days. Anyhow, I got this kit a month or so ago and installed it immediately (I never had much of a problem with my idle, it was a little rough, my only problem is with the hanging revs and a lean code I get at or immediately after start up sometimes when I restart the warmed up car after it's been sitting a few minutes)

Results: The idle is super smooth.... I did get the CEL again today and checked it and it was the lean code and IAC code. I believe the IAC code is from my hanging revs but they are not to bad anymore after my spring install, I guess I'll just tighten it again. Anyhow my idle is sure smooth. I dont know if it will fix all the evils of the TB but the idle sure is different...

Man, you can read that? Your monitor must be better than mine

No, no hole drilling in blower, just in the plastic intake neck.

Anyone buy one yet? What was the final decision on price? How difficult is the install?

Which car do you have the PWSC fitted to? FF with Zetec 1.8/2.0 or FF ST170 with DuratecST? Or you own a US-spec. FF?
Just figuring about fitting the PWSC to a European FF...

Its a uk spec 2ltr focus, i was the first to import (thanks to the help of Mitch) the powerworks blower and fit it to a focus outside of the US so i have been informed, and ive been really happy with the powerworks kit!

Anyways good luck if you do get a powerworks blower, im sure you will be happy with the result.

(sorry for going off topic)

This sounds great!

I too hope:
1) It will NOT require a retune,
2) It will take care of the stalling issue, and
3) is $150-160 shipped.

I'll order mine as soon as they are available if all the above are 'yes'.

If it doesn't require a re-tune I'd like to get it before my car gets put back together, which is hopefully in two weeks.
