Default ***Spy coverage of Massive 07 SEMA Show Car***

Its... NOT a Focus... But still pretty damn cool, and of course, its a Ford.

Massive has been working for the last week (yeah, less than 3 weeks total time to complete this project!!!) on a collaborative project showcasing some new products and of course Massive's skill and ingenuity. The car features a full Turbonetics T4 60-1 turbo system, JBA shorty headers and full 3" SS exhuast, Samco hoses, Grantelli suspension and motor mounts, ZEX nitrous system, Hawk brake pads, and much more to come in the way of visual, styling and performance mods. The car will be featured in front of the Las Vegas convention center for the 2007 SEMA show from October 28 through November 2nd.

If your asking yourself what we are doing working on a Stang, you might be surprised to learn Massive has been working/owning/racing them well before the Focus made its production debut. Collectively Massive's staff presently owns 5 of the pony cars, ranging in manufature date from the early 80's to late 2000's.

The car started Saturday as a bone stock 05' Mustang GT (9000 miles) with the exception of a Massive NITRO EZ adaptor and a ZEX wet kit.

The front end was taped to avoid damage in transit (the car was driven in from Detroit) and while under construction. We wasted no time tearing the car down.

The Giant Spearco intercooler was mounted. It is a full 12 Inches high, though much of it is covered by the bumper support in this photo. This intercooler is DEADLY efficient. After a few top speed blasts, the upper inlet pipe and TB were COLD to the touch.

A Samco silicone hose kit was installed. JBA Titanium coated stainless shorty headers were installed for of course more power, and the coating will assist in keeping heat inside the system resulting in faster spool time and lower underhood temps for more power. Granatelli motor mounts were also installed to handle the prodigious torque production provided by the boosted combo.

Work on the car wore on well into the evening.

Things were coming together nicely

VERY Nicely

The car was test driven Sunday morning with fantastic results. UNREAL torque production in the neighboorhood of 500 Ft Lbs in starting in low rev ranges. The car seems to get to 100 MPH in less than 10 seconds... INSANE. We should be completing dyno tuning next week and post some graphs. We will install some Ray's G Games 19" 99B's,

and some KW Variant 3 coil overs. Look for a VIS carbon fiber hood, CDC Eleanor grill, and of course a full graphics package.

A BIG thanks goes out all the sponsors, of course us, Turbonetics, Motovicity Distribution, JBA Headers, Granatelli, Samco, Ingalls, ZEX, KW and more to come!!!
More updates soon!!!

I look but I do not see....MORE PICS!!

Will you have this car back in the shop for a few weeks? I'd love to see it / go for a spin...

Thats an interesting turbo arrangement, not using a manifold that goes straight to the turbo but going back, then forward.. prolly lose a little pressure doing that but the higher exhaust temps prolly more than make up for the efficiency lost.

Suspension: is it grantelli... or kw? or both?

The car will be here til about the 25/26th and then be shipped to the show. But he car will also be back after that for some additional finalizations.

There simply isnt enough room to put the turbo anywhere else really. And the nice thing is is does keep stock or aftermarket shorty headers, and the cats. Yes, plumbing is a bit of a chore, but it does fit.

The coilovers are KW, the panhard bar and control arms will be Granatellt.

Come check it out if you have a chance!!!

If I have a chance this week, maybe I will swing down that way and check it out. Seeing that turbo makes me pitch a tent.
