Default PWSC "snout" removal instruction.

Hello Karl , I have 3 questions.

1st. Is there any special instructions I need to know before removing the "snout" on my PWSC.

2nd. Do you have in stock the "max boost master pulley kit" ( MAMC'MXBSTKIT )

3rd. Also do you have the "idle kit" for the PWSC.

Thanks!

its not that hard to remove the snout, just make sure you get the correct supercharger oil to put back in it.

I belive it is best to send the snout off to Massive to have the max boost pulley kit installed, as it requires a press, if i remember correctly.

But, once its done, its fairly easy to swap out pullies.

Karl...send me details about the idle kit... I dunno if it will help me...because i still havent tuned my cams, lol....

1. No special instructions. Just basically remove the serp belt and then unbolt it. We will include the required SC oil when we return the snout to you.

2. Actually we are backoredered on part of the Master kit, the 2.8 sheave. That is the stock size though, so I'll bet you could live without that part for a while. We could discount the kit for you and ship without it, or we can backorder it and just ship that piece when ready.

3. Yes, we can get an idle kit out for you.

I should take it apart on Wednesday and ship it over to you.
Since I'm putting this PWSC on a brand new motor I would like to have the stock pulley at least for the "break in" period. I don't know who can remotely do a tune for me so I will have to stick to the stock size for now unless you have a different idea about tuning .

Karl the "snout" has been removed and going your way tomorrow ( Wednesday March 5 ) .

Can I just tip it over and drain all the oil while I'm there ?

Is there only oil where the 2 gears are or there is some behind them , I haven't paid attention if there is a hole but the other side the rotors are there , I don't think we should have any oil in there unless there is a passage to lubricate the bearings on the other side of the rotors..

I'd like to replace the oil unless you suggest not too.

It will be sent at you attention if it's ok..

If you have to break the motor in (500 miles or more) you should be fine with the 2.6 pulley, as you wont be in much boost anyway during the break in.

Hell, I ran the 2.6 pulley with a FR head for a week or 2 till I was able to get on a dyno, just dont floor it.

I will dig around for my 2.8 pulley, but I think it got lost in the move when I bought the house.

^^^ Just like Brian said. Your not going to want to get into ANY boost while breaking in anyways, so it shouldnt matter a whole hell of alot.

Yes, dump out all of the old oil. The oil doesnt go any where but in that gear enclosure.

When you reinstall, make sure you clean and re-loctite the mating surfaces. A good isopropyl alchohol cleaner should take care of cleaning the flanges. Don't go overboard with the loctite though, you don't want it oozing into the oil cavity. Nate

2008/03/13 12:06 60081, USA Item successfully delivered.

Hello Karl.

According to the tracking number looks like the "snout" got delivered to your place I just want to make sure it's the case.
If you see the person who takes care of the Ebay account tell him(her) to leave feedback for the transaction I did last month( same user name ) .
I will also need more stuff so don't pack the "shout" yet.
I'll be looking for :

- "clevite" main and rod bearings in STD size ( I don't need the Heavy Duty do I ? )
I'm just refreshing the engine.
- "Eagle" H beam rods. ( 2003 zetec )
- "Ford Racing head" ( you should have 2 in stock according to Ebay )
- "Idle kit" for the PowerWorks
- "Intake kit for the PWSC( I never seen one so I'm not sure about that one yet )

Send me the total via PM or by email , you should have all my information.

Thanks !
Martin
