massive speed debacle - Focaljet

I purchased 2 strut tower bars from Massive Speed. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT &viewitem=&item=8063133245&rd=1
The first March 13th and the second April 3. The first bar came in no problem except there was no fog light mod, so I emailed them. They assured me one would be sent promptly. The cost was still good so I purchased a second bar and the wrong one was sent (the Zetec bar was sent) and again, no fog light mod. I contacted them again and they were pretty quick to get the right bar to me, but the promised UPS return label for the Zetec bar wasnt there (and still no fog light mods). I contacted them again about the lack of fog light mods and no return label and was told it is in the mail.

It is now 2 days short of 2 months total time and I still have no fog light mods and I have a useless (to me) Zetec strut bar. I have talked to them on the phone at least 3 times AND sent at least 5 emails. This is getting old. VERY BAD SERVICE AFTER THE SALE. The shipments were incomplete and one was the wrong item. I guess they dont care if I bad mouth their service because they would have remedied the problem when they promised.

So you paid for 2 bars, and you have 3 of them right now, and your concerned about the lack of 6 inches of wire? Seems to me like Massive has put alot of faith in you even sending there product no questions asked. Thats about 100 bucks out of there pocket considering you still have the original.

I dont have a Zetec. I have 2 Duratecs. I can use the fog mod, not the bar. Sure I will sell the extra bar if they just cant get around to sending a UPS return slip. I do understand that I am currently ahead on the deal $$$$ wise. I am inherently honest and am not out to make a dollar at their expense. Right now its the principle. If they choose to give me the Zetec bar in trade for the 2 fog mods, then fine. Right now I would rather do the right thing and get my mods and return the bar. Soon, I will change my mind about what is right if they cant straighten this out.

you do realize that the 'fog light mods' is just a 1" piece of wire with connectors on either side that replaces a relay in the fuse box..

Ive never ordered anything from massive but from what Ive seen on here they have excelent customer service

seriously, though, I HAVE ordered something from massive and I am only telling everyone my experience. Hopefully, by me publicizing this, they will make sure this kind of thing doesnt happen to someone else.

eh,

I have ordered around $5000 in parts from them and provided countless referrals, and the only thing I have heard bad is that some of their suppliers cannot keep up with demand (quite a few backorders), which is out of thier control.

yes, the "fog light mod" is just a piece of wire to replace a relay. (hell, i want a free one too,

)

Call Karl, and verify that the strut bar isnt on backorder...seems ever since that bar came out, it has been very popular and you may just be stuck at the vendors mercy.

Or, just get a Zetec powered focus...everyone knows the Zetec is better than the Duratec

venom, you dont understand. I have received 3 strut bars and 2 are installed on my cars. I am trying to RETURN the Zetec bar. they havent sent the 2 fog mods, but I am really being nice and trying NOT to rip them off by RETURNING the Zetec bar, but they just wont send me the (hopefully) last package with the mods and a return shipping label for the Zetec bar.

Really, I am being crazy honest here but I just cant get them to cooperate. Most would have already sold the 3rd bar by now...

I did just receive another email from them. I bet the mods and shipping label will arrive REAL soon.

Thanks for the honesty panther. A simple phone call or email would have cleared it up instead of waiting until you frustration got the best of you.

We will get you the fog mods ASAP and a return label at the same time.

k stylez, I knew one of you Massive guys would say something like that. I have emailed you at least 6 times and got a few replies saying you will straighten it all out. I have called you 3 times and was told that you would straighten it all out. Do not act like this is something out of the blue (or maybe you personally never got wind of it) . I have been soooooo nice and sooooo patient and realized if I made a thread something would finally get done. Well, I did make a thread and now I have someones attention. Lets see how it ends.

On Ebay, I am Dmie1. My home email is also PANTHERDAN@xxxx.xxx . How many emails are in your inbox at Massive from me? I realize you are busy, but dont forget what you tell a customer and follow through with your promises. Personally I keep a paper brain (a small spiral notebook) that I can write things on real quick to make me remember what I am supposed to do. Apparently, you guys need something like that. I recommend you get one.

Edit: this has been dragging on for almost 2 months now.

Dan, You were mailed via us mail a ups return tag w/ the fog mod on 4/22/08. Per our emails from yesterday I resent a ups return label with a fog mod. We also emailed you to expect this one just like the orignial to be coming with US Mail, not via ups. This thread has nothing to do with the results. I have sent now multiple return tags to the same address you provided. We hope one of them turns up soon. Our intentions are not to upset you. If you don't have the new return tag and fog mod by thursday this week with the mail, send us an email, or give us a call. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for being patient.

I received a shipping label and fog mods in the mail today. All it took was 5 emails, 3 phone calls and 2 threads on FocalJet and Focus Fanatics. This took over 2 months from start to end.

I checked the mail at my house and post office every day and looked for anything from DHL, UPS, Fedex, etc every day , too. There is no way anything was sent the OTHER 6 times I was promised it would be. The post office doesnt lose crap all the time. I could have been dishonest and kept the Zetec bar (worth about $100) that I will return with this label I finally got. Sure, I didnt need the fog mods. Those werent the issue, really. I didnt want to deal with this Zetec bar. I'm getting crap for being honest, what kind of crap would I hear if I sold the bar?

I've got nothing bad to say about Massive. They were on the ball when I called and placed my order, up front with me, and Karl was a riot on the phones. They even cut me a break on shipping. I would order from them in a heartbeat. I personally have referred about 10 people their way. Sounds like it was a fluke...then again, maybe Karl really did eat it.

....rumor has it that he gets hungry occasionally.
