Let's see some power numbers with stock bottom end NA with stock cams and a selection of cats. Is that asking too much. Kinda sounds like it. But I'm I can't be the only one here that wants to see it

Well that's certainly not an easy request considering we just released partial flow data...
In time though. First dyno released would be a shop car. It will be a stock SVT bottom end, CAT cams, this head, our header. Stock SVT IM at first.

Sweet
PLEASE please please please DO NOT do the first dyno with anything BUT the stock header. (Obviously w/ Flow'd Head and Cams)
I know you like the idea of the header allowing the head and cams to breath at higher RPMS
BUT,
For a first step, most people will either buy the head no cams, or a head and cam package and SKIP the header.
Thanks
I would even be willing to donate $20-$25 bucks for a sticker or something stupid towards you taking the time to swap cams and dyno, maybe some other generous people would be willing to see some advancements with the SVT for a few small donations.
Just food for thought.

I can try it with a stock header I suppose - thats easy enough. I just know we saw big gains with our header on the dyno with a stock long block bolt on car.
Swapping cams on the dyno I doubt will happen - as you are aware dyno time average $175/hr and while the physical act of swapping cams is easy on a Zetec, setting the lash is time consuming.
I suppose another set could be pre-lashed and then all buckets swapped at the same time, but still - that's a rather arduous process.
If folks want to subsidize it though, sure.
Personally I think if one went through the cost/trouble of doing the head, doing the cams would be a no-brainer.

I'm glad you like the header idea.
Also, not sure that this matters, but if say a company WERE willing to eat the time of doing 2 different sets of cams, I would be much more inclined to purchase said set/s from them. (I already have a matched set, but could choose to "change" my power band/delivery)
Plus, all these out of warranty SVT jerk off's need to start stepping up and modding.

I'm trying to do my part now! I'm looking at picking this head up once it becomes available (and cams, hopefully, too). There is a question I have regarding cam choices, though. I have a ProCharger that will be going on in the next several months, so is there a set of cams that would be better suited to run with the 'Charger and this head? I'd like to run uprated valvesprings to take advantage of a higher redline, as well.....probably 7600-7800 RPM.
I do believe you are going to want to use a combination of intake and exhaust cams to get a better overlap for boost, I HIGHLY suggest you make a call over to CatCam's and see what they suggest. I do believe the setup for boost was just one cam from 2 different profiles.

CAT recommends their 1017 grind for turbo cars. It's got alot of lift without crazy duration and not too much overlap.

Boost can have different requirement, especially when talking about a linear boost production like the procharger would have which is unlike the turbo... Still would seem a decent choice. I'd say email them for their reco cant hurt though.

Update
Black 03' SVT EAP
Had to end up making some custom spring seats and used a NASCAR based valve seal to gain more clearance on the initial run of heads. Also put into production run another different set of valves to make this easier in the future.

Thanks for the update.

This is Great im glad to see some one finally doing something for NA HP for the SVT. Plus it helps us Cali guys fly under the smog **** radar. This head cat cams and a chip would never be noticed by a smog tech so long as you have a stock air box IM and header....
