Default loud bang when both wheels go over sharp bump??

Its really weird, like when pulling into my garage, and the ground shifts up about 2" straight across, so when i pull in STRAIGHT with both wheels approaching at the same time and go over the sharp bump, it makes a really loud thump, metal noise, almost like my shocks arent bolted in and they just bag around, ONLY when both wheels go over it at the same time, otherwise, when im going over 1 wheel bumps and potholes, its fine

What could be loose? Its a really ugly sound, feels like something is TOTALLY not bolted in...really weird, its hard to diagnose too....im gonna go through all the bolts but where should i start?

Also, ever since i hit that curb on the freeway at 100mph+ on the drivers side wheel and cracked the wheel, my suspension hasnt been the same. The steering wheel has to be turned a tad bit to the right in order for the car to go straight, and even when i got my allignment done, they said the alignment was fine, but i think its something to do with the steering or maybe something is bent.

So if i let go of the wheel, the car goes slightly to the right. To go straight i gotta hold it a bit turned to the right...any suggestions?

Camber is ok on both sides, only about 1.1* negative

You're probably bottoming out the shocks. How low are you?

hhhhahaaaaa..>NO

sorry, no, no no

NO
nO

No

It can be at .5mph and still do it, and NO im not bottoming out, NEVER have YET on the spax setup, and ive hit some pretty bad stuff, and now, youd be surprised, im way up, i have them set to almost the highest setting, which is still low, but i have about 2 finger gap up front, and 2.5fingers in the back, and the shocks are realy shortened, i have plenty of travel

Its almost like something is loose, i guess i just gotta get in there and check it out...

I would bet it is the rear wheel bearings. Have them checked. U normally only hear them like that at low speeds not high speed driving. Iwork at a dealer and have seen it many times.

Prolly just bottoming out or hit the bump stops. It happens to me when I go over a sharp dip or raise. It's hardly something to worry about.

I don't think he's bottoming out.
I think I have the same thing, and I'm not low at all, and it doesn't take much speed to make it happen. Just an abrupt transition in the surface. (Like the uneven garage-lip.)
I think it's bushing slop. I'm pretty sure that everything on mine is torque'd nice and tight.
I have Poly-U control arm bushings and tranny mount, so I think that eliminates them....UNLESS they are either causing other bushings to flex a little more, (Since THEY don't), OR maybe the stiffer bushings transmit more of the energy that was already there, and the clunk is the result.
I can also make mine do it w/ QUICK "acceleration to braking" transitions sometimes. If that doesn't make it do it, after hard braking, it'll do it when I step on it in Reverse for a few feet. It SOUNDS like something's loose, but I've checked everything that might connect to anything moving, and I haven't found anything loose yet...

is it a quick pop? or a thump. check the sway bar endlinks they'll pop if theyre bad. i started getting wierd pops from the front end after i got my clutch installed, i think it may be something to do with the tranny mounts not being reinstalled properly . it sounds like i have the exact same problem as MichaelXi, if you find out anything let me know. i took my car to the dealer today and they replaced the tranny mount thats under the airbox (the old one seemed to have collapsed on itself ) and the problem disappeared for about 15 minutes then it came back and even worse and the new mount looks collapsed again.

its more like a thump...but hard, not soft or plasticy

No, for the last time, its not bottoming out...it does it just as bad rolling off the uneven surface, coming down to the ground...

Im gonna check the bushings and mounts..

u guys, i go over some pretty big stuff on the freeway, and it doesnt bottom out, i dont think 1mph over a 1-2" transition is gonna make it bottom out...

Maybe its related to my grinding noises when i turn...damn noises, i hate em all

Whether or not it's a problem, I don't know. I'd like to think it's normal.
Naz, you didn't address my Q's about your mods...
