SPEC for Average Joe?

I took a look at the Bondurant course that provides a SCCA competition license. I like the idea of getting involved in Spec Focus but not at that price! What other race schools does the Arizona region accept?

In Southern California you can take the Driving Concepts Racing School http://www.drivingconcepts.com/ It is cost $495 for a two day school.
