Is that Ted or Andrew driving?
How recent is that?
Are the hood pins to save weight, or is that an aftermarket hood that never had a latch?
The car looks Great.

It was Tom Wilson was the driver, he's a writer for Focus Fanatic, 5.0 Mustang and etc. The Hood is gutted to save weight. You can't use aftermarket hoods.

Gotcha.
Is that viable for the street?
I Doubt SCCA STS class rules allow it, but if they do, what is involved aside from latch removal?

It's all cut off... the ribs and everything. I don't know what they cut it off with.

I think that would fall under the SM rules for SCCA Michael.

Looks good!

My only complaint is that the body kit makes the 49mm offset wheels look like they are swallowed by the fender.

Yeah, It does do that.

Maybe some spacers would help.

When I looked at Andrew Gillis' WC car at SEMA it had struts on the lower front corners of the F2 RS front to flair them out. As a possible aero aid? This car may have the same mod.

I thought it was required in the Rules, no?

22.11 "Body molding, antennas, license plates, license plate frames, license plate lights, and insignias and emblems other than “Ford”, “SVT” and “Focus,” may be removed."

To me that reads you can take everything off BUT the Ford logos, the Focus badge and the SVT badge (if SVT).

The rear deck of the car still has the Ford Logo on there and there’s a Focus Sticker on there. Because of this, I feel it’s complaint with the rule.

The rule is for removals, not replacements of the Ford or Focus badges.

The sprite of the rule is to make sure that all SF have both a Ford or Focus logos on it.

Well you're the boss...

But you can't have "both" and "or" when it comes to two options. I'd assumed that the spirit of the rule was that Ford wanted brand recognition... Being that their Focus Emblem design is unique they'd want their logo on, not just the word focus.

But again... you're the guy in charge... so if you say we can remove the acutal badging and replace with decal... so be it!

Trust me, I shaved my FOCUS badges along time ago so I am not complaining, but I figured the same spirit as BUR ZX3

It would be best that you use a decal that is the same font and design as the OEM badge. But, I would allow other Focus Decal as long has it's not too crazy.

Sometimes these badges have to be moved and change because space is needed for a guy who races in multiple classes.

If you look at my car this year, you will see the following Class Letters that need to be on the rear deck.

SF (Spec Focus)
E2 (Enduro 2)
PTD (Performance Touring "D")
TTE (Time Trial "E")

Each of the letters need to be 4" and not alot of room there.

---Added-----
If anyone needs a offical "Focus" decal badge for you car. I will be selling them online soon.
