Yes. Albeit with my crappy Nikon point and shoot. I didn't have time to purchase my Canon digital SLR and learn the controls (like I had planned) before the event.

The suspension looks high and soft was he running the spec parts?

Yes. They are relatively soft for a race car and sit even higher due the cars lower weight. Hard to beat the price/performance ratio.
