Really don't know much about it, but PT seems like it would absorb a lot of NASA classes.

Ted - curious to know what is going to happen to SF as NASA's Performance Touring gets off the ground. I'm not too familiar with the rules, but aren't they designed (like TT and NASA-X) rules to allow 'a la carte' modifications that bump you up and down? Basically, resulting in one class structure for nearly all cars with fenders?

Yes, PT follows a simular rules to TT. SF is still going to have it's own class just like Honda Challenge, AI and etc.
PT will be a catch all class, but what PT allows Spec cars to do is run in PT where Spec Classes don't do well in. That being said, the main goal of PT is for Spec Car drivers who want to add more to their car can move into PT and do that. It also provides a safety line for new Spec classes that don't take off, then those cars can go directly into PT. Thus allowing someone to build a Spec Car and not to worry about not having a place to run if the class folded. But, After talking to John Lindsey(Chief Divisional Director) and Bryan Cohn (National Competition Manager) both have VERY high hopes for the Spec Focus Series. Because of this I believe that SF will not be absorb anytime soon. Both John and Bryan want to make some adjustments to the series to make the SF car more competetive in PT as well as Enduros.
