Default Talk me out of it!

I was thinking of selling the RBR car and getting my hands on the up and coming Focus Coupe to turn it into a Spec Focus car. Has anyone seen or heard news on suspension changes (if any) or other info regarding the car? It's tough to weigh the benefits without any info. I know my current platform will be cheaper and it's easier to change a few smaller things on that car than to build another outright, but I think that the coupe will get more exposure, which may benefit me in the long run.

Well from what I have heard it is very similar to the c30 but no one will confirm yet.

I want to get one as well, maybe we can work on it together!

Well, I think that would look cooler then changing your BRB car to a SF car. I think it will have a simular setup to what the Volvo C30 has, and we're looking into SF Suspensions for that car.

But it would get more exposure and maybe some test items for the car. We will need to some testing with it. I think that is something that would be good.

Leo is going to have a 2.0 Duratec SF, so we'll have more realtime data on that motor.

I know we’ve had a lot of talk on what motor platform is best for the Spec Focus, and there’s a lot that goes into that…like cost and etc. Plus the motors might act different at different tracks.

Everyone has their favorite like the SVT, Zetec and 2.3L. But, there’s one motor that hasn’t been talked about much and it might have the best all around performance and that is the 2.0L Duratec. This is a motor that might do very well in race conditions. I would think the coupe would be a 2.0L Duratec.

I love the car and I have spent literally thousands of hours on it over the years, but sometimes it's time to move on and try something different. The whole "rolling stone gathers no moss" thing. It would be VERY hard to sell the car, but I cannot afford 3 projects at the same time, nor can I afford the purchase price of the coupe without selling something. Believe me, I would be very perticular about who I sell it to, it would have to be a track rat for sure. I was in a huge funk after selling the flea, and I'm sure it will be no different now. Maybe I'll have to contact Ford's dollar people and see if I can get another one.

Chris, just wait because I am working on the coupe. I already know what drive train I want to use it for show and then we put it back so we can make it a race car for you. What do you think, lets talk about it sometime. Call me I am still up working!!!

You want to get rid of the RBR car sadness

That car is ultra badass at least thats how i see it.

I guess everyone has to move on to new and better things. A SF focus coupe would be a cool project to watch I would love to see it take shape. All of this on the condition the RBR car is well represented here just like it is now out on the track all the time and or The Blower kit is sold to me

Good luck sir either way you know FJ will be behind you and always trying to catch up

Hmmm.... May be a viable option. Yeah, we'll have to talk for sure.
