Nationals!!!

Now that I’m back from Nationals, I wanted to give everyone an update on what took place and what the future looks like for the Spec Series.

First off, I want to thank Leo, Sandy and Chris of LC Racing. Your hospitably was awesome, I know it’s hard working with us California guys (LOL). I also want to thank Andy, Charles and everyone from Ford Racing that made the trip down and helped out. It’s great to have that factory support like that. Also special thanks goes to Chris and GRM Magazine, Also thanks goes to Shawn and Mindy of Severns racing. We did a good job working together and switching drivers very fast, and last but not least…. WTG Brett!!!! Great job!!!

We had a lot of good feedback from the fans and other drivers about the Spec Cars. I personally couldn’t believe how many people want to start building cars now after the show we put on. It seemed that Andy, Leo and myself were answering peoples questions about the cars and series all weekend long.

We also had a meeting between NASA and FRPP and talked about the Future of the Spec Series, and we’re please that this partnership will continue on in the future as we grow. We’re also looking to add another program that will also help bring Foci owners to NASA and to start a Focus Owners driving program with the help from Ford Racing and Focaljet.

I personally had a lot of fun at Mid-Ohio. It was great to see all the fans there. This was something new to me, driving in front of all the fans. I have been lucky to play in Baseball games with 10,000+ fans… but never got a chance to race in front of thousands of race fans. It was fun put on the show for them. I know there’s a lot of video, and pics of this event. We’ll try to post as many as we can.
