Default Ford Racing Clutch

Hello Guys,

I am putting the centerforce dual friction clutch in the focus this next weekend. and I wanted to double check the install direction. I am assuming the full friction material side goes against the fly wheel and the side with the gaps goes against the new pressure plate. I took it apart to look at it and I now I can't remember which way it went int.

Thanks,
Andrew

i'm not familiar with the centerforce clutch but most clutches i've installed usually are marked "flywheel side." if not, the longer part of the splined center section goes toward the trans, the shorter side goes toward the engine.

Yep is has a sticker that says flywheel side. I did not see it when looking at the clutch. Thanks for the suggestion.

Dang i just installed one and forgot. I am thinking the side with the most gaps went towards teh flywheel, but i can't be sure. Hit up the local dealer and have him pop one open and look for the sticker!

I was just looking in the ford racing book, and i noticed that the sticker in the picture is on the side that has the lesser material, the one with the blocks for pad material......heck i don't know how to explain it! LOL

So that would be flywheel side.!!

I hope that helps!
