It's a 6 point bolt-in, but the base plates and connecting sleeves can easily be welded in.

Let me know what ya think. Thanks bud.

NASA's site is down at the moment, but I my copy of the 2006 rules says the following:

1.500” x 0.120” either steel or Chromoly
1.750” x 0.095” either steel or Chromoly

(I will double check those measurements later today to see if they've changed)

If the cage meets those requirements, you should be ok. I googled the autopower cage and it looks ok - but you need to make sure that it has 2 horizontal door bars on the driver's side. The pictures I found of the autopower cage looks like it only has one - so you'd have to have another added (figure $100 or so).

Also, if your seat is not FIA certified or is more than 5 years old (some are, some aren't), you'll need a seatback brace, a window net and right side net.

i know what matt meant but i thought i'd try and make this a little clearer. you need a window net and right side net no matter how old your seat is. If your seat is not FIA certified you will need a seat brace. If you have an FIA certified seat that is older than 5 years, you will need a seat brace. FIA certified seat younger than 5 years = no seat brace. Personally, i'm not a big fan of the seat brace and will replace my FIA seat after the 5 years.

I agree, I'm not much of a seat brace fan myself, I would just plan to buy a new seat every 5 years.

Checked on the cage material. What I had above is correct:

1.500” x 0.120” Chrome-moly / Seamless mild steel (DOM)
1.750” x 0.095” Chrome-moly / Seamless mild steel (DOM)

Also - if I didn't mention it, you will need two horizontal door bars on the driver's side to have a new logbook issued.

Cars that already have a logbook will need to have a 2nd bar added by 2011. If you don't already have two, get the second one added regardless - it's cheap to do and may save you a LOT of grief if you wreck.
