Default SF at Cal-Speedway

Ryan Lapp ran his first Spec Focus Race and did very well. He was able to pass and beat almost all the other Spec Series cars including the Spec Miata’s, Spec E30’s and 944 Spec. WTG Ryan.

The Car ran very well all weekend, we defiantly had a Horsepower advantage over the other Spec Cars and really showed up on the Oval section. FocusSport did a great job on tuning the car.

We had a good time with the whole Lapp Family. Laura Lindsey did very well doing the turnarounds, checklists and helping out in the pits.

Ryan also picked up a total of 80 points towards the SF Championship Cup.

Congrats Ryan!!!!

I was gonna try to come out Saturday, but had too much stuff to do before dinner.

Funny thing was, I had dinner 3/4 of the way there anyway.

I couldn't see the entire track as I was stuck in the cold pits, but watching him pass cars on the front straight was very nice but the car looks HUGE compared to the SM cars

Congrats and welcome aboard. Looks like the rest of us have some catching up to do for points already, I was looking to get a set of snow tires mounted up for the April Mid Ohio race but Toyo must not make them for us east coast guys.

Official Results

Saturday

Ryan Finished 18th out of 41 cars which included all Performance Touring, ST, SU, Spec 944, Spec E30 and Spec Focus. A lot of the SM ran in PTE…. Ryan Finished ahead of all the Spec 944, Spec E30, and all but one Spec Miata. Ryan’s fastest time was 2:04.226

Sunday

Ryan Finished 20th out of 40 cars. He Finished ahead off all the Spec 944, Spec E30, and all but one Spec Miata. Ryan’s fastest time was 2:06.527.

The Spec Focus Record for Cal-Speedway was set in Leo’s Red #68 ST car with a time of 2:02.683. The track design was a little tighter through the chicanes and the entrance onto the oval. This cause slower times this year compared to last year by all classes.

But Ryan did a great job beating all the NASA Spec Cars in both races except for the fastest SM that has $12K engine in it. It's good to see with the new changes we made to our cars this year (like tires) and another year of development we can have a young driver still be very fast.

Great job.

Good to know out cars are a little faster than some of the other spec cars out there.

I am so happy that we finally have someone ( since Ted's first year) that is campaign a Spec Focus out their. Can't wait to see all the Spec Focus cars all together at the Nationals coming out of the keyhole on to the front straight at Mid-Ohio.

Great job Ryan, Mark and Ted!

Its supposed to be shipped directly from Ford Racing to me... so I dunno if they're taking their sweet time on the truck or what.

I'll call my supplier today.

According to him, Ford Racing still lists them on backorder.
Good news is my brakes will be here soon enough!
