anyone interested in the SVT?? - Page 2 - Focaljet

the guy from texas never came through...however, THE CAR IS SOLD PENDING PAYMENT. i believe the buyer is from michigan. he races shifter karts on road courses all over the country...so he should be a great addition to the spec focus races. i wish i could be the one racing with u, but $$$ is a little tight.

i had planned on getting back to shifters...but a look at this years results shows money might be tight for quite a few people. the very low turn outs dont look appealing to me. who knows.

www.dasautoshippers.com - shipped my Spec Focus and my wife's daily driver from California to Virginia, both for less than $600 each.

A long time family friend and buddy of mine, Mark, is the one trying to get the car. His intentions are 100% on running SF next season, he is planning on getting the car and working on his comp license asap.

On another note, Matt, I saw you are registared for MO so I'll see you there. Chris, are you planning to attend? You have a PM by the way!

The deposit check went out this morning to Thomas and we are planning on picking the car up in the next couple of weeks.
Yep that's the plan, to run the full spec focus season in 2009..

If at all possible could you ask him how is he going to go about his competition license?

^^ There are several schools offered each year at various tracks.

First thing you must do is get seat time to qualify for the school.

I know for Mid Ohio's school they want you to be at least in HPDE 3 or have similar experience.

They are doing a comp school the friday of the August Mid O event.

if he's from michigan he should go to waterford hills driver skool in the spring. it got chris capaldi his rookie license for this year.

I think the plan will be to do HPDE in October at Putnam and the school at Waterford next April.
I'm hoping they'll give me some type of credit for all the years racing shifter-karts on long tracks...we'll see??

I'll be at Mid-O for the august event. Looks like we'll have a little SF party. :-) I'll be running two races the following weekend at Summit Point so I'll have my 5 for nationals - which I'm also already registered for.

Maybe it's time for the "Who's going to nationals" thread to start?
