Default props to capaldi racing team

Just wanted to give a big THANK YOU to the entire Capaldi team for installing the cage + in my car. I signed up for time trial at the July mid-ohio and we'll see if I can make the leap to racing this year.

I ended up with a recaro profi xl seat to get the harness guides high enough. The seat is excellent but the focus adapter is worthless. Chris was able to find the manufacturer and they are making one a few inches shorter.

Edit - here are a few pics of the cage. Obviously a lot more work to do. I found a passenger seat adapter from CDOC and they had a driver one too. So please no one buy the one from recaro.

Jon,

Thanks for the kind words. All of us at Capaldi Racing were pleased to help you in getting you and your car ready for SF. As you could see at the shop we are running in 20 different directions but customers such as your self who are appreciative towards our work make the long days that much more rewarding!

As we talked about, any questions you might come across throughout the rest of your build, feel free to contact me directly and I would be more than happy to point you in the right direction.

Thanks again, see you at Mid Ohio!

Right now the kill switch is only wired for the battery. Does someone know if I splice into the excitor wires or altenator wire?

do you have the kill swith with alternator protection? i talked to craig at grattan on how to wire your switch since i have the same car. if your car is still with the capaldi's, have him show you. just tap into the coil.the instructions included with switch are pretty straightforward. let me know if you neen me to take a picture.

Ha, Craig said to ask you. There are 3 wires going to the coil pack and I was wondering which one to use. I know how to wire it into the kill switch.

I would highly recommend some sort of padded mount for the ECU.

Will it die as-is? Probably not... but zip-tied to the cage has the electronics engineer side of me freaked out.

Cage looks awesome though!

nah. no need to pad it. thats exactly how i have mine. survived a season and a half with no problems. most cars just have them dangling behind the dash.
