We're Back! - Focaljet

The new car is just about finished. We took it out to Willow Springs today for about 6 hours. It was 106 deg outside. Darren, from Wild Pony, went with us to do some data loging and to do some tuning. The car ran good, a few small issues.

We take it to Buttonwillow on Sunday, to ship it out to Ohio. That gives me a whole day to fix the problems, load up all of the tools and spare parts I can fit into the car. Oh, and get 4 new Toyo R888's. I'm sure that it will get done, who needs to sleep anyway.

One more thing.

I just wanted to thank a few people.

Darren, Wild Pony Motorsport, spent the entire day today with us at Willow Springs for no charge. They did several other things for us also.

Ricardo at F2Focus.com. He gave us some parts and much needed advice.

Riza, Randy and Vic from Focus Sport, gave us some great discounts on parts we needed to get back up and running.

They all did this and asked nothing for it. We have put their stickers on our car, but they didn't require it. They did it just to help us out. I know that they are all business's, but they went beyond just doing business.

What is all that brown, dirty looking stuff along the track?" That white car will be grazing on the grass and looking at trees with wide eyes when you unload it here.

You better show it some video of what the rest of the world looks like or it won't be ready for action.

PS Glad your coming all the way back to the midwest to play. Rules are, winner buys and there's a number of thirsty dudes here.

There aren't many trees or grass around our racetracks in SoCal. Most of the tracks are out in the desert (hot and dirty). On the plus side, not much need for rain tires (although we are bringing some with us). Ryan has actually raced in the rain several times. He says that he really enjoys it.

Hopefully we will be buying the drinks, not having the drinks bought for us.

Unfortunantly no. We won't be getting into Ohio until Wednesday night. It's a bad time to be missing work.
