Default NASA Great Lakes 2009 schedule

"Here is an early look at the Tentative schedule for 2009 - (Please comment)

April 17,18,19 - Mid-Ohio (Not confirmed)
May 16,17 - Putnam Park (Cross-Over)
June 6,7 - Grattan
July 10,11,12 - Mid-Ohio (Not confirmed)
August 14,15,16 - Mid-Ohio (Not confirmed)
September 5,6 - Gingerman - Could be HPDE Only or with races - Pursuit Style for fun?????.
(Sept 10-14 Championships at Miller in Utah)
October 10,11 - Putnam Park (Possible Cross-Over)

None of the Mid-Ohio dates have been confirmed but I'm hoping they give us these dates.

I'm trying to work with Bluegrass on finding a date that fits with our current schedule. Ideally I hope to add Bluegrass in March as a regular event, but no dates are granted in March for 2009. Lets hope they finish early and give us a March date.

Be sure to follow regular updates and changes on http://www.twitter.com/nasamidwest" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

if the planets align I will be TTing at all of them possibly racing at one or 2. Excluding nationals that is. I won't be making that trip.

If not I will likely be at all both putnam dates, at least 2 of the mid o dates, then probably another weekend or 2 with other clubs.

Bluegrass is the new track that is supposed to open in Kentucky early next year. There is a lot of hype, hopefully we will get to see if it lives up to it.

I'm suprised they aren't or haven't been doing an east and west coast championship. I mean after all this is grass roots racing for trophys.

True, and NASA has a precedent for that with the Rallysport stuff. Pacific championship vs Atlantic championship.

Kind of hard to have a East and West Coast Championship to go along with a National Championship.

We already have a Regional Championships.

That will take place on those three above dates. Total Points is MO champion.

Do you mean all the SF come to MO in August for our own? Don't think the left coast will buy that.

The July and August Mid Ohio dates are set now.

Bluegrass is looking more and more like failure every day. They are going to be lucky to hold an event before 2010.

No drainage, tire walls not up, and other things. They have canceled all of May I believe putting NASA next on the chopping block.

They were awaiting the Army Corp of Engineers to give the ok on their drainage plan etc to do the final paving. The track is paved but no the final top coat and the paddock is not yet paved. May 11 is the date I saw for them to move forward with approval???

Bluegrass canceled.
We are all going to Grattan, but they (NASA Greatlakes) could only get Friday and Saturday June 5,6th.

One race Fri, Two races Sat. Racers take their pick of two best for the season championship points.

Hope it is nice weather, time to go Spec Focus racing.!!
