Toyo Tires Remains Presenting Sponsor for NASA Championships and Continues Generous Contingency Program

The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is pleased to announce that Toyo Tires will remain the presenting sponsor of the 2009 NASA Championships to be held at Miller Motorsports Park September 10-13, 2009.

Toyo has continued their generous contingency program that allows top-finishing racers at the Championship event to walk away with up to $4,000 for a class win. The contingency program worth over $200,000 in cash and "Toyo Dollars" will be open to competitors competing on the Toyo Proxes R888 or RA1 competition DOT radial Tire at the Championship event.

It was announced late last year that NASA was adding Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah as the site for the 2009 and 2010 National Championship events and that Mid Ohio Sports Car Course would remain the East Coast site for the 2011 and 2012 events. The addition of the Miller facility to the roster is a key part in NASA's plan which will rotate the event every few years to make it more accessible to a larger group of racers and help continue to attract a greater number of participants.

The Toyo contingency program will make contingency awards available to every class at the 2009 NASA Championship event. Complete details on the 2009 Toyo Tires contingency program for the NASA Championships including payout structure and requirements are contained in the links provided below.

The cash portion of the awards program will apply to race classes at the NASA Championship event which specify Toyo Tires as the required tire for the class. The eligible classes are:

The cash contingency program will award drivers a cash payout in the following amounts based on number of starters in class. A representative from NASA will contact winners shortly after the event to request information required to process the awards. If your class has 5-9 starters, you'll qualify for the "Toyo Dollars" listed below and you'll need to send in the required Toyo rebate form found HERE and follow the instructions listed on the form.

NASA Contingency Program Guidelines for 2009 "Hawk Bucks" Awards
The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is pleased to announce that Hawk Performance will remain the "Official Brake Product of NASA" for the 2009 season. As part of this partnership, Hawk Performance has renewed their national contingency program, which offers substantial benefits to NASA's membership. In addition to all regional events, Hawk will also provide a comprehensive contingency program for the National Championships at Miller Motorsports Park. Although the contingency program has been renewed, the process for collecting your award has been drastically changed for this year to make the process much easier. The program is thoroughly explained in the contingency guidelines linked below.

Requirements
Must have the 4 required Hawk decals on race vehicle while on track. (1 on each side, 1 on front, and 1 on rear). Decals are available at the track from registration or tech.

Must submit required "Hawk Bucks" award certificate along with print out of official results to authorized Hawk vendor when purchase is made. (Print out of results from Mylaps is acceptable).

Please NOTE: essentially the only requirement to collect your "Hawk Bucks" is that you had the required decals in place! That's it!

How to claim award
IIf you finish 1st or 2nd in any class, you must collect your "Hawk Bucks" award from the "Tech Area" immediately following your race. There, a NASA official will verify the decal placement on your vehicle, and then present you with your "Hawk Bucks" award. Failure to claim your award during the weekend's activities will constitute forfeiture to your claim for said award(s). Awards MUST be claimed immediately following your race to allow for verification of the Hawk decals and no acceptations to this rule will be made.

How to spend your "Hawk Bucks"Â
"Hawk Bucks" may be used at any of the authorized Hawk Performance vendors below toward the purchase of Hawk Performance Brake Pads. You can simply call to place your order, let them know you have "Hawk Bucks" you'd like to apply toward your purchase, and you'll be given 2 options for completing your order. Option 1, pay in full via credit card to have your order shipped immediately, then send in your "Hawk Bucks" award (along with the copy of your official results) and your card will be credited the amount of your award. Option 2, send in your award ahead of time (along with the copy of your official results), and your order will be shipped when the award arrives. The choice is yours.

Program notes
"Hawk Bucks" may only be applied toward the published retail price for any Hawk Performance brake pads.

2009 Exedy Contingency Program Announced

The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is pleased to announce that Exedy Racing Clutch will again offer a contingency program as well as substantial discounts on Exedy products including clutch kits and flywheels to NASA members in 2009. This is a continuation of the program they offered to NASA members in 2008.

The contingency portion of this program is called the "Exedy 3 pucks of Luck". It will offer a $50 pre-paid credit card at every NASA regional HPDE and racing event across the nation to one lucky winner (drawn at random) that has the required Exedy stickers on their car. This program is open to HPDE entrants and racers alike. If the selected entrant has the required Exedy stickers on their car, they will be able to walk away with $50 compliments of Exedy. What could be simpler? Required stickers can be obtained at the track or by contacting Exedy at 1-800-346-6091.

This is a continuation of the program they offered to NASA members in 2008. The contingency portion of this program is called the "Exedy 3 pucks of Luck". It will offer a $50 pre-paid credit card at every NASA regional HPDE and racing event across the nation to one lucky winner (drawn at random) that has the required Exedy stickers on their car.
