We are planing with at least 2 cars Craig and Lowell running in SF. I hope C- Money is going. Also Mark Z bought the Yellow SVT and will be there. I also hope to run my updated AI car we have a new engine for it a new adjustable front splitter, rear adjustable wing, and should have some bigger brakes by then. I got alot of things sorted running it in AIX last year. But rest of the guys I raced in AIX had 200-300 more HP and they around 500-700 pounds lighter.

Faisal sold his car, it got a lot more expensive than he was told/expected pretty fast once he started to work out what it needed. I think it only got through body work before it was sold as a bare, although beautiful, caged chassis.

Great Lakes Region has generally held a licencing school on Friday of the three Mid Ohio events. The Mid Ohio School does the instructing and testing.
If interested, plan on the greater expense of using their car. There is NO time for working on your car during the day. Other than a 30 minute lunch you are in the car or in the classroom. If you have some one to prep your car, maybe. But if there is any issue with the car and your not on track...may not pass. There goes your time and $. Then the other key is a full documentation of you track resume. All the HPDE's dates and tracks. Must have several HPDE 4. Completed physical exam, and a check for the licence fee. Then there is a take home exam on the Club Competition Rules, CCR. All turned in to Dave Royce If you have all that done satisfactorly, then you can race on Sat and Sun. Jon, "BadIdea" I'm talk'in to you man. It can be done. Then you should be running your own SF, or renting from LCR on Sat or Sunday.

I'm unfamiliar with NASA rules/regs, so a question. If I show up April 11 as a 'spectator', can I get in the gate to watch some of the racing (and meet some of you guys)? Reason I ask,,, with SCCA you have to be a member OR be on someone's 'crew' list.

I've never showed my nasa card at the gate. Also if you want to drive they can class your car in PT or TT.
I need to buy some more safety gear and do some minor car work and I should be ready.

I'm hoping to do my first MID-O HPDE!!! I'm trying to figure out tires for the event because i'm don't think the ones I have know will last more than a day...
BTW if it is my first Mid-O but I have done just a couple of track days should I go for HPDE 1 and get the instructor for the purpose of getting to know the line of just kind of feel it in HPDE 2? Hector |

For sure. +1 on the instructor. I've never driven that course. Even at a confident HPDE3 driver, I'd opt for DE1 my first time at that track. There are some not-so-intuitive corners on that track.

What is he going to sit on their lap?
I plan to keep my passenger seat in so I can always give someone a ride.

I was thinking of going out and instructing this event. Anyone have hotel space for a family of 3?
