I just got my 2009 NASA welcome kit. I have an HPDE at Monticello NY on Sept 18th. I will be using my SVT spec'd out with all the goods save the diff ,cage and toyos. On the NASA site ,it links to Spec Focus site, witch in turn links you to the NASA site. There are no dates for 09 on the site and my welcome kit for this year has no spec focus class. Can anyone shed some light on the state of spec focus,k It will greatly help me prepare my car further. Some pics

I just checked the NASA Site, and it links to the Spec Focus Section.
http://specfocus.drivenasa.com/ The webpage might give you some of the info that you're asking for.

1. There is a Spec Focus class
2. The rules are dated before 2009 I believe and those are current 3. The SVT needs the Torson Diff, Toyo R888, and all the safety equipment including cage and you are track ready to compete. However, Chris K raced his first season without the Torson, just the safety equipment. 4. Later, you will want to do some spring, shock, anti sway bar changes to tune your handling. 5. Make your way to Mid Ohio Aug 15-16 to check out the east coast SF's and discuss any questions you may have.
