Default Titanium with a manual? YES!

    From Car and Driver: http://blog.caranddriver.com/ford-se...ocus-titanium/

So far nothing yet I can see, but given the build out dates of the 2012, I can see this being a possibility for the 2013s maybe set for May-or-June-ish production.

    Truly good news.

...though I think the top models should get the MMT6 instead of the MTX-75.

But will dealerships stock any Titanium's with manual trannies?????? Not a chance in hell.
The C/D article states Ford said take rate for Foci equipped with manual is only 7%. I would prefer to see this percentage compared to
dealer stocked manual Foci, not just the sales % by itself.

If you do not stock the product , you won't sell it.

Very good news for North American wanting top trim with manual, but sad they will not be able to find any on the lots.

It will really depend on the dealership.

My local dealership was one of the few in the area that ordered a few manual SEL hatchbacks. I don't recall them moving any quicker than other cars.

I would blame the slow movers on uninformed customers. I lived in Canada for over 40 years and I had to order every car I purchased because I wanted
a manual transmission. Not once was there a manual tranny equipped car on the lot. And I lived in the Golden Horseshoe area. Which is the most populated
    territory of Canada.
After 40 years of never seeing a manual transmission equipped car on the lots, it became ingrained in my mind that this is what it is, and knew prior to each new
car purchase that I would need to pre-plan months in advance to receive my ordered car when I needed it.
I would say it is safe to assume the majority of new car buyers will not wait for a factory ordered vehicle, they want what is on the lot at that moment of decision.
Also if no manuals are in the dealers stock, it is impossible to even test drive to see if the manual transmission meets your expectations.

Quit your bitching and order one with a manual if that's what you want. Within 50 days +/- you'll be driving it!

I second that. I ordered my '09 ses coupe from the factory thru my dealer and I got it the way I wanted it.

The 5 speed box is better and buttery smooth with better ratios. Trust!

I know I would have chosen a manual over the auto but I've grown to like the auto especially after the update. If the ST wasn't coming, I'd be ready to order another Titanium with a manual.

That's why you order the car you want.

Anyone that buys an automatic because it's the only thing on the lot is getting what they deserve and they have no reason to complain.

Now if we could just get them to give us one with less doors.

I absolutely couldn't agree more! It definitely has two too many for me. Luckily everything else about the '12 more than makes up for it.

It all depends on the six speed, my SVT revs higher on the freeway then either my 2000 or 2004 ZX3s did.

My 2004 was a 2.3 PZEV MTX and that thing just about idled down the freeway.

I think this is fantastic news, as the lack of a manual option is one of the main reasons I've not considered a new Focus. I want a fully loaded car with all the possible bells and whistles, as well as a stick shift.

Even so, I'm still holding out for the ST.
