How much and what are the compression options on the JE Pistons? I'm looking to go all motor so increased compression is a must...

I believe those are the "econo billets" which are only rated for 12psi of boost. I would imagine those would be right on par if not lower strength than the Eagles. If you get the bad boy billets, look to spend $600-700. I've seen econo billets as low as $375.

The Eagle Rods are 370 and Pistons are going to be in the low to mid 500's I am waiting to see what the best deal is on either Arias or JE.

As far as installation goes our machine shop is working on a short block now and the head shop is working on a cylinder head. We will have a better idea of pricing soon on installation.

pistons at $500 is way too much i think, that doesnt even come with rings does it? Who else makes pistons for our cars, its gotta be less than $500 for a set of pistons...

870 for rods and pistons, plus maybe a 100 (?) for the rings, plus labor, it's over 1000, and I think this beats Naz's statement on we can have a safely boosted bottom end for less than 1k.
Anyway, I think when it comes to pistons, JE is the one to go, a bit more expensive, but quality is ensure. Just my 0.02.

actually, you can get the JE pistons AND rings for $499 at crower.com You can also get the childs and alberts pistons, rings and wristpins for under $400

So, eagle rods= $370
childs/alberts combo = $400
Main cap bolts = $70
Head studs= $110

Thats under $1k, and the labor i dont count

Race Engineering has the JE pistons for $419 and the rings for $80. So thats still $499 I think that is going to be the going rate for the JE's

Hey Tom? Are you using the Esslinger Main caps? And if you are, where did you get them from?

crower is just a name people , we build all our motors with eagle. we have done testing on both rods and they break at the same points every time.don't get me wrong crower is a bad-ass company , but why pay more for a name? eagle rods helped us hit mid 11's in are all-motor honda.soon we are going to build a all-motor focus sleeved block and everything, hopeing for some good numbers on the dyno.as far as pistons go, we are going with ross.
