Will it work with the hella/morette/AnotherPieceaCrap's kits?
(I just care about the DOT spec Hellas, though I'm sure others would be interested too.)

I'm a little confused (which is somewhat normal), is this an entire headlamp replacement or just new Xenon bulbs with the ballast to run them?

It's a kit that converts your stock lights into HID's. It uses an H4 adapter with an HID bulb and two ballasts.

No it will not work with the Hellas or Morettes since those use H7's for lowbeam. Philips does make a separate kit for that application.

The only bummer with an HID kit is you lose your high beams. My father installed a $1000 HID kit on his Taurus a few years back. Not only did he lose his high beams, but the high beam light stayed on continuously.
