I'm up for it. I need 205/50/16 for my stock 16" wheels. Winter tires that is. Do you have anything good which would cost too much?

do you by chance have a technical write-up of the differences between "summer" tires and "winter" or "snow" tires?
What exactly are the benefits of going to a "snow" tire in winter Vs. staying with what you have. I am possibly interested in a winter tire and wheel package, but would like some technical research to backup my decision. Discount tire have anything on that on their website possibly? |

I'd be in for a set of "high performance all-season" tires (195/60R15 or equivalent), already have the wheels though. Looking for something that'd help if we got a bit of snow, would be decent in the rain, and good (not great, that's what the summer tires are for) on dry surfaces.

I'm interested! Michelin Arctic Alpins 185/70R14 please.
Last snow wheel/tire pack. I bought was from DT and I picked it up myself at the Columbus distribution center. |

Most definitely interested. It won't be long and Minnesota will once again be a 'Winter Wonderland'.

I'm definitely interested. The SVT's stock Contis aren't going to cut it through a Chicago winter.
I'd like to pick up a set of 16" take-offs (does DiscountTire re-sell take-offs??). I'd prefer either the Blizzaks or Alpins. They've both worked well for me in the past. [ 10-02-2002, 08:16 AM: Message edited by: BlackSVT ] |

Todd,
I know that you don't stock them, but can you guys somehow get your hands on Nokian Hakkapeliitta winter tires? Curious... |

I am currently investigating getting winter tires. I'm considering going down to 16" wheels and tires for my SVT for winter. Would be great to be a part of a "group buy"

Count me in if it's a significant discount .
I think there'll be a serious demand by northern SVTF owners looking for a 16" combo. |
