Default Hit Something?

I noticed Wednesday morning that there was a tiny puddle of anti freeze under my car as I left for work. I have a company truck so I didn't have to drive it. I get home and check it out and see that one of the small hoses that looks to go into the radiator or a/c cooler is leaking at the fitting. I imediately take it to the dealer and leave it their for them to repair today. I wait all day for a call to pick it up, nothing. I finally call them at 4:45 or so and he tells me that I have hit something and they will not cover it. He also tells me that he's still crunching the numbers for the total cost and it won't be cheap. He tells me that I have damaged the radiator and the ac cooler and basically to come by in the morning so he can show me the damage that I have concured. I told him I hadn't hit anything and if I had hit something to cause that much damage I would have known it, then I blew up on him and told him to keep the car and I would not make another payment. To be continued......

Default Re: Hit Something?

Your car is not owned by the dealer. You financed it through a finance company which owns the car. Leaving it at the dealer will only hurt you. At the very least you will incur daily storage charges and who knows what else. The diagnosis by the service department may be wrong, but don't overreact. Go thru the proper channels and try to settle it logically. You'll get more flies with honey than ice.
