OK, so my fuel pump died on friday night, and they said they wouldn't even get to LOOK at it until WEDNESDAY! AND, their loaner cars are "all booked until August"!
am I guaranteed a loaner car if my work is being done under warranty??

Dream on - I've had to rent a car every time my Focus has gone in for yet another warranty repair / recall. The people at the rental office know me by my first name...

My god....Dont let them tell you the fuel pump is difficult to diagnose and replace. I had mine go. All they need to do to narrow it down to the fuel pump is disconnect the fuel line, plug in the diag computer and turn on the fuel pump....no fuel, needs replacement.
The tank is held in with a strap that is held to the body with 1 bolt, the fuel pump just unscrews from the tank... A trained monkey could replace it in 15 mins. If you purchased the car at that dealer and they wont take a few minutes to run diags and get parts ordered if they need them Id fine another dealer that will and never give them any business again. But if you are getting no satisfaction from the dealer Ford roadside WILL tow you to another dealer free of charge if that dealer cannot look at you car within acouple days. |

Just get whatever they say in writing and have the Service Manager sign it. If they deviate from that, either send it in to Ford so they can review it or send it to the Better Buisness Beauru(sp?). Dealerships do not like it when they loose their BBB license/support.
