Default Squeeling Brakes

I'm taking my car in wednesday to get them fixed. The tech told me, over the phone, that it is caused by lack of glaze on the brake pad and he has a few foci to finish up first, what a coincidence huh. Just thought I should tell everyone what causes the "problem".

Actually, it's kinda the other way around -- when these stupid brakes heat up too much, they begin to glaze into a glass-like material. When it's glazed, they squeak. It's annoying!

I've had my brakes de-glazed already once.

Man finally an answer to this problem. I've posted this twice and nobody has given me an answer besides "go easy on them" or "It's factory have them replaced". I mean come on I know what to do with them I want to know why they do this!
I was going in Friday to have them looked at but acording to what i just read I might as well just get the EBC Greenstuff pads and be done with it.

Okay, I brought my car in at 9:00am wednessday and the service rep told me it would be done by 5:00pm! So, 5 o'clock rolls around and no call telling me my car was ready. Then I waited until 6 and then called. They told me it would be done at 7:30 but when it turned 8, still no call. So I called them up again and the service department was closed, wtf?! So waited till this morning and called at 8, finally finished. Picked it up and they didn't mention anything about the wait or what was done. So, I left and looked at the reciept(sp) and it would have cost me 176.16! without warranty.

the reciept says: "Brake shoes/pad assemblies-hydrolic- inspect/replace"

Just thought I should tell everyone what was done to fix my sweaky brakes and my experience with Keller Ford in grand rapids
