Default windshield problem

Anyone else have a problem with the windshield getting really badly pitted?? My focus windshield looks as bad with 17K miles as my toyota did with 175K miles is this normal?

My windshield is starting to get pits.. I was like 'oh man more damage?'.

If you want to notice something else odd about the glass, if you have a 2000 zx3, while driving (with no traffic) look in your rearview mirror at the road lines through your rear window.. Notice you have 'wavy' glass? There is distortion effect. You only notice it if you're looking for it.

I have noticed that too. It seemed to get even worse when I got my windows tinted.

Yeah, my windshield is starting to get pitted too. But then again, I've lost count of how many dump trucks and gravel trucks and what not that I've driven behind on my way to work. There's nothing better than getting a light sandblasting job on your car every morning...

I've noticed the same "wavy" effect on the rear window. And mine also became nore noticable after my tinting. I think its due to the rear drfroster. The copper wires seem to be higher than the surface of the glass.
