Default Piss poor paint?

Okay, so I've only had my focus for like 4 months, and there are already huge missing chunks of paint on the front and rear bumpers, as well as on the roof. Am I just unusally lucky in getting blasted with road debris, or does ford paint just suck? Grr..

This happens to ALL cars. Just walk around a parking lot and look at all the cars. Unfortunetly it only takes a couple minutes behind one of those dirt trucks to seriously sand blast your bumper.

Unless you are talking about seriously big chunks like what happens to some of the paint jobs you see on those fiberglass hoods where it seriously peels off in pieces a little smaller than your pinky nail.

The chunks on the rear bumper are all pinky sized. Dunno if someone hit me or what. I guess I've just never had this problem this bad with previous cars, perhaps its the yellow making it look worse

Nope...that's crappy paint then. It should be repainted under warranty. Technically its road debris, and they might say you drove behind a marble truck, but it should NOT chip THAT big! Most chips are really tiny.

I get to have my hood repainted under warranty as there was apparently some "rail dust" on it from when the paint is still fresh and something dirty brushed up on it while on the train and stuck in the paint. Its about the the size of a palm, but I figured I'd wait until I get my recalls done and wait till the rest of the paint on the hood actually could use it!
