I got ripped off

I finally got a package from Fedex that I was waiting for. I've been expecting a euro grill that I won off of ebay. I open it and what do I find? a euro grill for a Cougar...? I've tried emailing the seller and no response. this really burns me up.

this is what he listed on the auction. "This auction is for a new never installed ford focus grille. the reason i am selling this is because i ordered a grille for a cougar and they sent me the one for a focus. this is the grille that doesnot have the lights in it. This item is sold as is no warrenty or returns."

any ideas??

I'm sure the seller is not going to speak to you. Doesn't eBay have some kind of procedure for this? I thought I remember seeing something against it. Sorry to hear about it.

If you paid by credit card, and it's a good idea to do so, you can contact the credit card company and request a charge back based on breach of contract.

Only use eBay's escrow plan when using the site. EBay is becoming notorious as a scam outlet and there only reponse has to make vendors sign a new agreement accepting ebay as a "venue" and not an auctioneer. That clears them of the auctioneer's legal responsibility for fraud by sellers. Lots of luck dealing with deadbeats. If you paid by credit card as noted in another message you may have some recourse.But if it was a private party you may be stuck.
