How do I reprogram the odo to read in miles, it now is set for metric, but I want and need miles. What do you do? Thanks in advance. Ian

Welcome to the Jet Ian... Sorry, I don't have an answer for you... thinking back this is the first time I've heard of this... so, maybe just checking with the dealer might be the best bet...
It was a quiet weekend...so maybe someone with more knowledge then myself might be able to help
Hope you get to cruise thru the other Forums and find them helpful and interesting....We like to have fun on the Jet...and we hope you come often
BTW....What model Focus did you have?

Has the odometer always measured in kilometers?

Do you have daytime running lights?

Maybe you got a Canadian Model deep in the heart of texas!

Hey Ian. Maybe the LCD odometer in the car is just like setting the clock or stations on the radio. Maybe you push and hold the trip meter pin down for 5 or 10 seconds and then see what happens. Who knows, maybe this will work and this is how Ford saves money by having one unit which is changed by the press of a button.

Update, I used the odo button trick to look at all the tricks it does, including reading speed in Klics, and when I finished, I no longer was in metric. I guess this must have fixed it. I also noticed that the tire pressure sticker, which by law in to be on the driver side door jam, was on the passenger side jam. Maybe this car started to go to England and got rerouted!! Ian

Go overseas? Nah, they have their own manufacturing facilities over in Europe.
Although I suppose it possible that someone was going to export it somewhere....

Hmmmm... All the cars I've owned have had the build sticker on the driver's side door jamb, and the tire pressure sticker on the passenger side.
