slightly crack-ed headlight
possible leaking transmission
hood/headlight mis alignment on left side

anyone else experiencing these problems? just curious.

What kind of tranny do you have? When I changed my oil for the first time, I also checked the tranny fluid. Mine was about HALF full!!!

So I filled it up to the right specs and it goes into 1st A LOT better. It also goes into gears 2-5 better. I only checked because when I changed my mom's SVT Contour (2000), her's was even lower! We have the same tranny (5 speed) and it takes the same amount. I don't know what to say about your leaking tranny. Where is it leaking from? Is the filler AND drainer cap on snug? I suggest EVERYONE to check the tranny fluid.

I had the same problem with transmission fluid in my 1989 Tempo. 2 weeks ago I checked the levels, 1/4th of normal!! So, I let it chug a better portion of a quart of the stuff. Let me tell you, it now shifts so much better

I have had both headlight enclosures replaced because I had puddles of water in them ....

i WILL check that trans fluid. it sometimes feels like crap going in to 1st
