Default Re: Vibration From Engine?

Check your oil levels to make sure it isn't overfilled.. too much oil can cause vibration.

Default Re: Vibration From Engine?

Why does your car vibrate?

It may be caused by any of these factors:

*Out of balance tires

*Out of round or separating tires

*Bent or warped wheels

*Loose or worn suspension parts

*Loose or worn drive shafts

*Warped brake rotors and/or drums

How can you find out which it is?

First, answer some questions:

*At what speed does the vibration occur?

*Does it vibrate only while braking?

*Does it vibrate only while accelerating?

*Does the vibration start after hitting bumps?

*Were there any repairs recently performed on the vehicle?

Just a few places to start looking for the answer.

Default Vibration From Engine?

Any one had this crop up over time. There is a slight vibration threw the car which wasn't there when new.Just a tingle threw the body. Maybe a bad idler pulley or something? Also since I am on this subject I know people have had vibration threw the steering wheel as well I have that slightly still got a little better after tire balance but still present somewhat. Any fixes?

I don't really have a vibration, but when I am accelerating I often notice the rpms don't climb perfectly smooth. I've noticed this in other Zetecs with the MTX. Is this just a characteristic?
