ZX3 seat rods pushing through - Focaljet

Both my front seats have these rods that are pushing through the seat cushion, already made a hole in the passenger side and lets just say my wife does not like it a bit, does anyone have a good fix for it besides recovering the seat?

This seems to be a common problem. I have the same thing going on with my driver's seat. An upholsterer might be your best bet.
