if only jon would post...ive driven that fastrax car and it sure does feel fast. I bet with traction that car is good for solid 13's, but jon doesnt like to brag at all. He wont be happy till he hits 11's i bet.

Um, actually Joe Morgan (gio_momma is his focaljet nick) with his 00 Ford Focus Wagon currently has the fastest focus on the board. I'm not sure what his fastest ETA is, but at the battle of the imports in palmdale, CA he had a best time of 9.520 @ 145.12 MPH to take 1st if the pro mod class. Of course, there is faster foci's. There is a 7 sec zx3, but as far as focaljet goes, I'm pretty sure he's the quickest regged member... Correct me if I'm wrong...

Is that an actual steel body, though (I'm sure the frame's not stock)? I'll give it official Danny credit for being a fast focus if it's using a mostly stock body, anyway... The "web site" listed in the image needs a fark.com-like "not safe for work" disclaimer, and maybe some content regarding the actual cars involved... |

I think that wagon uses the SPI engine. Most wagons are SPI and for a long while you couldnt buy a wagon with a Zetec, so i dont know if it counts as a focus if it doesnt have the Zetec in it

To quote the October 2001 issue of Import Tuner: "...Now Joe is back with a new weapon, a Focus wagon powered by a 2.3 liter Pinto motor."
Import Tuner #31, Oct. 2001 p49 Though I doubt this is what you meant by fastest focus, it does answer the question of what engine he was running. |
