Well Don't know why he isn't posting, I'll give him a call. He has been really, RALLY busy with work lately and he was lucky enough to get time to get the tranny done. He said it feels good. I don't have any lifts and standard tools! but alot of years in maintenance so I know how to improvise...

Lol, being able to improvise is sometimes better than having the right stuff! But a job like that by yourself... well, I think you should just get some beer and find someone who wants to help you drink it while you do the work ![]() just in case.Let us know how it comes out when you try it. And I'd still like to hear from 2006TZX4, about how he likes it and how it went, whenever he gets the time to post again.

Nice! Into the 13's with an automatic 4-cyl.- that is good stuff.
Keep up the good work. Are you going to add more boost?

13.9 for a 2.0 Duratec automatic on 9 lbs?
That's decent. How's the 1 - 2 shift now, with the LenTech? Is it crisp? Tire chirping? What?

Yeah, that cannot be correct. MTX 2.3 cars on 11lbs cannot trap 108mph. Cool build though. - Drew

Drew wouldn't it be possible with no loss of boost during shifts where as on a MTX you will lose boost. The auto should hold that 9psi constant once it hits max boost.

Where are you hitting 9psi in the RPM band with the lentech? Also do you max out in 1st before it shifts??

From what I've seen a built auto usually beats a MTX because of the shifting capability

this is a great thread. I have been agonizong over the Lentec "Street Terminator" which is built to hold 275 whp. It costs $1995. But of course you get the upgraded bands and valve body. The limited slip option is another $1345 (Len says lots of machining for that).
I chatted with a tranny shop yesterday, he claims they see most failures in the forward drum....and also the O/D servo. His claim was that the hard parts are weak. I have the base PW with standard tune. My biggest wish is to get a limited slip diff. to keep the torque to both tires. I am a terrible drag racer and was peeling through the sixty foot. I reasoned that with a limited slip and drag radials, perhaps I could use that torque for some good launches. Or lift my foot a little ( : The other thing is the long pull through second gear....I don't think I am slipping, but it is a long pull. The manual guys split the shift, acording to the ratio splits in my Haynes. I think an auto is the way to go for drag, but I am one cheap SOB. It's hard to think about shelling out that kind of cabbage for the build Lentech, for me, anyhoo. 2k could be a ported and rebuilt head with cams, plus a host of other goodies. But you don't get something for nothin'. Which brings me to my next point. I would like it if we could get a PW SCT or Diablo tuner to adjust shift points and the mph, that works of the Mahle tune, like the standard SCT does for the Zetec. Anyone know about this?
