It's late... give it 'til tomorrow at least when people who know are at work and/or near a computer.
FocusSport should know, although they may not have ever concerned themselves with a Mazda flywheel, disc or pressure plate. Perhaps the input shaft's spline count and/or shaft diameter might be different. Also, the flywheel specs or dimensions may be different between the Ford pieces and the Mazda pieces. This is a possibility regardless of whether it's a dual-mass flywheel or a conventional one. Ideally, they should be indentical, but that's not always the case even though both engines are a Duratec and both transaxles are fundamentally the MTX-75. Lastly, if the two did interchange, wouldn't we know about it already? Again, this is a FocusSport question (or any of [FJ]'s other sponsors that deal in driveline parts). Welcome to [FJ].

It will not work as they are completely different transmissions...we know we did a conversion on a Mazda 6 2.3L...we took out the stock tranny and put in the Focus MTX-75 and then you can use the Focus Clutch setup on the Mazda but not vice-versa

This is the best affordable option for the Duratec Focus. We run this on our turbocharged Focus ST at 11psi with around 240 WHP and 240 WTQ. We have abused it on the street and track with excellent results.
