Hey guys. I really need your help here, I can't figure out what's wrong!
Yesterday I was driving down the road and I heard a vacume leak coming from the engine bay. I pulled over and noticed that is was coming from the PCV Valve to Intake Manifold Hose. It seems that so much vacume had built up in the hose that it colpased and eventually ripped.
I replaced the ripped factory hose with a new vacume approptiate hose from AutoZone. I started the car up with the new hose on, and it imediatly colapses.
When driving the car, it drives completely normal until you go WOT. It boggs down and runs horrible until you let off the throttle.
The only thing I can think of, is there a clog somewhere in the PCV system. That would make enough vacume to suck the hose shut and make it collapse. The hose itself that runs from the PCV Valve nipple to the nipple on the back of the intake manifold is NOT clogged.
I also went back to AutoZone and purchased a new factory replacment PCV valve made by Motorcraft. I changed it out thinking that the PCV valve might of been bad, but after installation, it's still doing the same thing.
Could the little block crank case vent "tank" that's behind the header be clogged up in any way??
Do you guys have any idea what could be wrong? I don't want to drive the car much like this, because I know the crank case isn't venting properly.
Any help would be great, and is despretly needed. Thanks!
