So, I haven't changed my oil in like...forever. And I've had NO time lately to do it, I usually do it myself, but today I decided to go to this place called Mobil1 Express Lube and have them do it.
I paid $52.00. Yes. I'm ashamed. But I got a free car wash lol.
Anyways after biting my tongue when they told me what kind of filters they use (ugh) I went into the lounge and hung out. I was watching them for the most part but when I looked away and looked back, they were filling it with oil coming out of a Valvoline jug. I then ran in and was like "WTF?" and they pointed over to a few big barrels that had pumps on them, implying that they pumped Mobil1 into this Valvoline jug to pour into my car. But I'm not entirely certain they used Mobil1.
So, since I let the oil change go for so long, and since I have a crappy filter on my car now (like a FRAM or something), I was only gonna run this oil for maybe 1000-1500 miles before changing it myself again.
If it isn't synthetic in my car, like if they either weren't paying attention or just screwing me over, will that hurt my car at all?
