As I announced, Focus On The Beach has seen its final sunset over the pacific. Thank you to everyone for making it a great 8 years! Most especially FSWerks/FocusSport for supporting us EVERY YEAR! Raffi, Randy, Vik, Ivan, Dan, The Other Ivan, Hubie, Ilie, Clint... you guys have all been part of something epic over the last few years... some have moved on, others stick around. But thank you ALL for having been a part of our show.

Ron Meyers cannot go without the love here. Ron has put together one of the most awesome forums in the world, and he deserves every bit of recognition here. FOTB would NOT happen if it weren't for Ron's support and encouragement. Ron, I can't thank you enough.

Powerworks, Cosworth, H&R, Exedy, Microsoft Auto, 3dCarbon, Saleen, 76 Cool Blue Racing Fuel, Jackson Racing, Hawk, Barber Ford, CFM, Massive Speed System, New Edge Performance, and I'm sure there are a couple others I'm forgetting, you are forever in my debt, and the debt of hundreds of Focus Owners throughout the US for making these events great with your contributions as well.

But while FOTB is gone, the idea has just merely evolved, into the next big thing. Its clear that we all love small cars, particularly Fords. Its clear that there are more than just one car that we love, especially now that the Fiesta is here... And thats why I'm happy to announce that beginning in 2011, we will now be the Focus Beach Fiesta, an event dedicated to all small cars rocking the blue oval. Focus, Fiesta, Escort, Festiva (ok maybe not ;)) if its Ford, and its small, its a part of the new event!

I can't say for certain, but it seems like this year's site was pretty damn awesome.... So I'll be making some phone calls this next week to make sure we're welcome back, and hope to be locking in a date very very soon!

In the meantime, please enjoy these shots of FOTB 2010, and we'll have much much more to come!

YNOT's work on display, loved by all!

Best in Show: Joseph Dane

Best Coupe (beating me, :p ;)): Cliff Truesdell

Best Sedan: Richard Chavez

Best Hatch: Dave Lupperger

Chairman's Award: Randy Robles (Not handed out, but I just decided that it was too damn sexxxy to not win anything)

FSWerks' Ivan and Dan are not just employees, they're also fans!

The turnout was awesome!

Nothing but roofs and a tent could be seen!!!

And the WTF of the day.... when these two came walking through.... :dunno::party:

It's the last "Focus on the Beach" by name. The event itself will continue under a different name.

And yes, you should feel bad for not going. Jerk.

Todd, thanks for all the hard work along with all those responsible for making it happen! This was just an awesome event! The award I won was totally unexpected! A door has closed with FOTB's last meet, but am so excited about a new door opening with FOCUS BEACH FIESTA next year. That inaugural one is going to be off the chart so everyone make your plans to be there if you can possibly make it.

It was a great event and thank you so much, Todd, and all the sponsors for putting this together for us to look forward to. We are looking forward to 2011 FBF and count us in for sure!

We missed you Kris.:( Danny, it was friggin awesome to meet you. Too bad it may not be ever again or at least anytime soon since you're moving.:(

Edit; I just wanted to give some very special recognition. Pixie Jen brought something no one ever thought they would try.

Chocolate. Covered. Bacon.

You can say it. You're jealous. :p

Thanks Todd, glad I was able to make it to the last "FOTB", and absolutely look forward to being a part of the first FBF as well! Just got home about 20 minutes ago, it was a fantastic weekend. The Cougar did everything I asked of it, and without any problems. Very happy for my first ever trip out of state with the car. I had an unbelievably relaxing drive back to LA from Ventura on Saturday. Just me, nice cruise on PCH, with the windows down and the waves crashing on the shore.

Thank you Todd! It was another awesome event

So glad I got to see everyone I hadn't seen in ages, and those I see more frequently than that. :)

Great times were had by all. Well, maybe except for 'Jump FAIL Kid'.

Can't wait for FBF!

I'm very dispaointed that i was not able to make it down for this event but I will start the planning and working etc to make the event next year for sure. A friend of mine and I have already decided to make a month long trip including this for me.

I wasn't positive until that day I was even going to be able to make it. And your phone doesn't work so I couldn't call you.
That and I just assumed you would stay for the bonfire. :(

I get the feeling that the bonfire was kinda sedate this year... 'cause I've heard me no stories and seen me NO PICS.

Aaarrrrrrhh. :arr:

Like. I. said.

I don't think there was one.

:what:
You're quite mistaken, sir Squire, the bonfire this year was probably my favorite we've had. Yes it was low-key, but everyone had a great time, numerous belly laughs, and it was nice to all be in a group.

We were having a small competition with two other bonfires. Our neighbors fire was 10+ ft tall. And they had pretty cool green lasers they were trying to crash the planes with.

#28 ·
I don't actually recall anyone taking any pics at the bonfire. It was mostly chillin in chairs, pouring vodka on the fire, drinking beer and eating s'mores.

Stephanie has a couple pics of the fire, and one of herself, on her Facebook... and I've got some vids of the fire on my phone.

As for the S'mores.... yeah, ok so here's the deal. Next year, I'm raising the fee by $5.00, and bringing enough s'mores for everyone! Because we had, what, a dozen boxes of graham crackers and bags of marshmallows for the 15 people there.

That way, all you need to sweat is a chair, and some beer.

Speaking of.... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... Polygamy!

the bonfire was great! My first and last FOTB. hopefully someone will bring a bunch of fiestas to FBF next year. I had a great time meeting everyone in person finally. Failboy and his window jump made the trip more than worth it.
