So this may be an odd question but is there anything i can do to get a little more power out of my 2003 2.0 spi? Just looking to get a little more get up and go out of it. Its an auto too with 126k on it. Any info would be great. Thanks in advance!
Sorry but there really isn't a lot. That is the least popular motor for performance, and has the least performance of any motor to begin with. I'd just try and figure out how keep it from dropping a valve seat
The spi motor is kind of the red headed stepchild of the focus. No one really does anything to them except turbos. I know the escorts used the cvh/spi engine, perhaps one of their forums could be of help
The most I did to mine after dropping the valve seat and rebuilding, was a K&N Intake and lunchbox muffler removal.
