Default 2.5 Swap-should I upgrade rod bolts while I have the pan off?

So tax return came in..time for the 2.5 finally...

I still have a Cosworth BSD kit from like 10 years ago(man I better check the o-ring in that kit-hope its not rotted away by now!-oh and I'll check the thread pitch on the bolt in that kit as well-I remenber hearing Cossie had the wrong bolt in some kits).

Of course I need to put my 2.3 pan on the 2.5 block.

    While I'm in there...

I'm thinking about adding the pan baffle from Massive:

Looks like arp has rod bolts that fit 2.3 AND 2.5:

I plan on flogging the crap out of this 2.5(as I did the 2.3 till it blew at 163,000).

    No plans for boost.

Just bolt ons, tune, cams etc. eventually ..

Any reason I shouldn't put arp rod bolts in while it's cracked open?

I would never touch anything on the bottom end, especially rod bolts without taking it all the way down measuring clearances. The potential need for resizing the rod is there.

Good chance you'd be fine, but it's really needless work with your plans regardless. I would touch as little as possible unless going through a motor fully.
